No. 19 of the Ashtead Potters Christopher Robin Nursery Set is a rice pudding bowl. The text excepts read "And it’s lovely rice pudding for dinner again!” and "What is the matter with Mary Jane?”, both taken from the poem 'Rice Pudding' by A. A. Milne from the book of poetry 'When We Were Very Young'. The illustration shows Mary Jane at the dinner table. The bowl is transfer printed but the original set (presented to the Duke and Duchess of York in 1928) was hand painted, as was a second 'special edition' presented to A. A. Milne's son Christopher Robin Milne - the inspiration for the character.

The legend on the base of the bowl reads: This is No. (blank) Of 24 Pieces of the Christopher Robin Nursery Set made in England by Ashtead Potters Ltd. Epsom, from E. H. Shepard's copyright Designs Regd No. (blank). learly the first blank should be infilled with the edition number '19' and the second blank, a six digit registration number - both in keeping with the rest of the series.
